Irish show Jumping squad named for Gijon Nations Cup in Spain

The Irish Show Jumping squad has been named for this weekend’s five-star Nations Cup at Gijon in Spain. Gijon is not part of the European Division 1 league which finished at Dublin at the start of this month, with Ireland now preparing for the Nations Cup World Final which takes place at Barcelona in Spain at the end of September.
The Irish squad for the Gijon Nations Cup is as follows:
Tipperary’s Shane Breen with Laith or Ipswich Van De Wolfsakker
Waterford’s Anthony Condon with Balzac
Mayo’s Cameron Hanley with Quirex
Louth’s Mark McAuley with Utchan De Belheme
Derry’s David Simpson with Keoki
The Gijon Nations Cup starts at 12.45pm on Saturday in Spain where Taylor Vard will be Irish Chef d’Equipe.The Gijon Grand Prix takes place next Monday.
