Irish Young Rider Eventing Team take Bronze at European Championships

The Irish GAIN Young Rider (Under 21) team clinched Bronze medal position at the European Championships in Jardy, France.
In the Young Rider section of the championships, Michelle Kenny and Fernhill M25, Melanie Young and Riverstown Express with David Hannigan on Red Baron were left without a discard score today after fourth member Caroline Marwood and Jazzin Along were eliminated during the cross country phase.
However, the trio held their third place during today’s show jumping and finished on a tally of 230.0, enough for a Bronze medal, with France taking Gold and Great Britain the Silver medal.
The Irish Young Rider team is managed by Sally Corscadden with dressage coach Heike Holstien, Show Jumping Coach Ian Fearon and Team Vet Will Lalor.
