Longfield Quinlui (ISH) and Derek McConnell claim victory at Cork Summer Show ISH SJ Series

Longfield Quinlui (ISH) by Quintender (HOLST) out of Dshlyi (ISH) by Luidam (KWPN) ridden by Derek Mcconnell jumped double clear in a time of 38.85 seconds to win the 7-year-old final of the Irish Sport Horse Studbook Showjumping Series at Cork Summer Show today (Sunday). Longfield Quinlui (ISH) was one of only five double clears in the 7-year-old class. McConnell beat off stiff competition from the other combinations who made it through to the final.

In the 5-year-old final, only two combinations jumped double clear to split the win, while in the 6-year-olds, there were also six clear rounds. There was €9,500 on offer in Cork summer show from the Irish Sport Horse Studbook for these young horse classes. The final leg takes place in Tattersalls Show on 20^th and 21^st July where there will be 13,500 on offer.
