O’Connor 4th in $130,000 WEF CSI5* Challenge Cup

WEF 5 saw the first CSI5* competition at the Winter Equestrian Festival , Wellington (FL).
A total of 55 competitors took to post in the $130,000 WEF Challenge Cup sponsored by Ruby et Violette. Only 13 horse and rider combinations jumped clear in the first round with just 7 jumping double clears.
Ireland’s Cian O’Connor was in great form finishing 4th place with The Stallion ‘Good Luck’ owned by Adena Springs & Ronnoco Jump Ltd in a class that was won by US rider Reed Kessler and her mount Cylana in a time of 38.03.
Next week sees Irish riders head to Ocala, (Fl) for the first Nations Cup of the Year.
