“The entire equine community is in shock to learn of the tragic loss of Jack de Bromhead on Saturday afternoon. On behalf of Horse Sport Ireland, I want to extend my deepest condolences to Jack’s parent’s Henry and Heather, his sisters Mia and Georgia, and the extended de Bromhead family, friends and relations, along with Jack’s wide circle of friends. The de Bromhead name is synonymous with the equine industry in Ireland and Jack’s loss will be felt throughout the racing and sport horse community.
“It is devastating for de Bromhead family and for the entire equestrian community, to lose a loved one while doing the sport that they love. Jack’s family and friends are in our collective thoughts and prayers at this incredibly difficult time.
“The loss of a young person is always hard to understand. This time will be difficult for many of Jack’s fellow young competitors and friends in equestrian sports. Horse Sport Ireland have a designated support service for any individual affected, and we would encourage them or their parents to email [email protected] to seek bereavement supports.”
