Robert Splaine announces Squad for Gijon Nations Cup

Horse Sport Ireland’s High Performance Manager, Robert Splaine, has announced the squad that will represent Ireland at the CSIO 5* Gijon Nations Cup in Spain which takes place on Saturday 27^th August. Splaine will name the team of four from the squad of six later this week.

The squad in alphabetical order is:

Michael Duffy

Dermott Lennon

Cian O’Connor

Conor Swail

Billy Twomey

Gijon CSIO 5* is part of Furusiyya Nations Cup, Europe Division 2, League in which the Ukraine currently lies in pole position. Ireland will not be competing for points at this event. Ireland have already guaranteed its place in the Furusiyya Nations Cup final in Barcelona next month and have also confirmed their position among the top tier of World Show Jumping again for 2017.
