ELEVEN of Ireland’s best horse and rider combinations competed for the title at the Connolly’s Red Mills Eventing SuperLeague Championship A/CNC2* class held at Tattersalls last Sunday (September 1).

The class was eligible to riders who had competed in the Eventing SuperLeague which started in March this year.

Michael Ryan riding Ballylynch Wizard led from the start despite incurring faults in show jumping and cross country. However, the final result of 61.8 was enough for him to win the class.

Michael was presented a cheque for €1500 plus €100 feed voucher, sweat rug, jacket and Forans vouchers by Connolly’s Red Mills’s Nia O’Malley.

Steven Smith riding Youngstars Cheetah just pipped Fraser Duffy riding Primus into second place by 3.2 penalties.
