5K Fun Run at Punchestown Racecourse to Raise Funds for IHWT

THE Irish Horse Welfare Trust is organising a 5K Fun Run at Punchestown Racecourse (by kind permission) on Sunday 20^th July at 12pm to help raise funds to support its work.

The charity rescues, rehabilitates and re-homes horses and ponies and cares for up to 100 equines at its centre in Woodenbridge. The IHWT also runs education programmes in equine welfare in disadvantaged areas including Dunsink in Dublin and Moyross in Limerick.

The event is open to competitive runners as well as families as it can also be walked. The charity is asking all horse lovers to come along and support the event. Registration is just €15 and is available online at www.active.com and also on the day.

All participants receive a lovely IHWT Tech T-Shirt and there are prizes for winners in both the men’s and women’s races and medals for children.
