Allen Claims 3 Star Grand Prix

Bertram Allen claimed today’s Longines World Ranking Class ‘The Masters Tour Grand Prix’ in Germany’s Eschweiler.
Wexford’s Bertram Allen jumped a speedy clear in the 1.50m jump off with a time of 35.66 to beat Tipperary’s Denis Lynch who jumped clear in a time of 36.09 into second place. Allen riding the 9 year old Gk Casper owned by Ballywater Farms claimed over €22,000 in prize money for his win while Lynch riding Royne Zetterman AB’s Echo de Laubry claimed over €13,000. 3rd place was claimed by New Zealander Bruce Goodin while 4th place was claimed by another Irishman David Simpson. Simpson jumped clear with a time of 39.75 in today’s jump off.
46 combinations took place in today’s Grand Prix with the 3 Irish riders taking 1st, 2nd and 4th place.
