GAIN Irish Under 16 Eventing squad named for 2018 European Pony Championships in England

The GAIN Irish Pony (U16) Eventing squad has been named for the FEI Pony European Championships which will be held at Bishop Burton College in England from August 9th to 12th 2018.
The GAIN Irish Pony Eventing squad is as follows (in alphabetical order):
- Isabelle Comerford – Colour Me Fancy
- Chloe Fagan – Fernhill Timbacktoo
- Sophie Foyle – Little Miss Fernhill
- Holly Love – Cloughreagh Charlie
- Harry Swan – Wilderwood Storm
- Charlotte Teehan – Knockenpoower Minnie
Reserves in alphabetical order:
- Ava Banahan – Regent de Mauvis
- Daniel Meagher – Monroe Lad
- Heather O’Connor – Robin Hoods Gentle Cloud
Irish High-Performance pony manager Becky Cullen commented on her selection:
“I am excited by the squad of riders we have for the European Championships in Bishop Burton this year, we have a mixture of experienced combinations and new faces backed up by strong reserves, and I believe we have a fighting chance of a medal. I appreciate the commitment shown by all athletes and parents involved in the programme to get to this stage.”
