Ireland’s Donahue rises to second place in world Endurance rankings

DUBLINER Hilda Hick Donahue has taken the number two spot in the official FEI World Endurance Rider Rankings, a jump of two places since last month.

Donahue, a notable three-day event rider who switched to Endurance riding, is now based in Florida, where she teams up with the current world number one endurance rider, the USA’s Cheryl van Deusen.

The FEI Endurance rankings include over 2,000 international riders.

The Irish rider has been consistently in the top ten of endurance competitions in which she has competed throughout 2015, and in her previous discipline of eventing represented Ireland at the World Cup Finals in 2002 and also competed at the world’s top events, including Burghley, England, Rolex, USA, Pau, France and Adelaide, Australia.
