IRELAND’S Jamie Reavey is pictured on the podium after winning the Individual Mounted Games European Champion 2015 title in a nail biting final at Saint-Denis-le-Ferment in France at the weekend, which kept everyone on the edge of their seats – this is now the fifth year in a row that Ireland has taken this title, a massive achievement for a small country competing in Europe.

Jamie hails from Clones in Co. Monaghan and will be 19 on the 24th of this month and is currently studying equestrian science at UL.

MGA Ireland’s Open team were the current Open European champions headed to France this year after winning superbly in Belgium last year.

They came second in France, being just pipped at the post by England by one point a crushing blow after playing brilliantly in the final, and almost bringing the title back home to Ireland again.

However being Reserve Champions is no mean feat in a field of high European team standards. From left to right: Jerome O’Connor (trainer) Co. Kildare, Aido Hanlon Co. Meath, Mark Devitt Co. Laois, Jake O’Connor Co. Kildare, Craig O’Connor Co. Waterford and Kate O’Connor Co. Waterford.
