THREE IRISH SPORT HORSES IN ROLEX KENTUCKY TOP TEN AFTER DRESSAGE

WITH the second day of dressage complete at the four-star Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event, there are three Irish sport horses in the top ten ranking.
In second place is Britain’s William Fox-Pitt on Bay My Hero, by Cult Hero, and bred by Bryan Maguire, while in equal fourth is Mr. Medicott, by Cruising and bred by Dr. D. Geaney and ridden by the USA’s Phillip Dutton.
Seventh place is held by Pawlow, by Marcuzzi, bred by Ernst Pawlowski and ridden by the USA’s Will Faudree.
Ireland’s only rider at Kentucky, Tim Bourke and the nine year-old Irish Sport Horse Luckaun Quality, by OBOS Quality, currently lie in 53rd place on their debut at four-star level.
Twenty-two per cent of the entries for CCI4* Rolex Kentucky this year are Irish Sport Horses.
