Dressage Autumn Development Series announced

Horse Sport Ireland, in conjunction with the Department for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, can announce the dates and venues for the 2023 Dressage Autumn Development Series.

This year, the Autumn Development Series will run as a league with four qualifying legs and a final.

A minimum of two appearances are required at the qualifiers, with minimum scores of 63% in each appearance, to be eligible to attend the final.

Prize money of over €48,000 will be available across the league with prizes for 4-, 5-, 6- and 7-&8-year-old horses, as well as breeders prizes.

In 2023, three legs of the Autumn Development Series will feature pony-only classes, for 5- and 6-&7-Year-Old ponies.

The Autumn Development Series is open to all horses registered in a Studbook; main or supplementary section with a specific breed documented within.This can include main section studbook equines OR supplementary section studbook equines.

Ponies must also have a studbook passport with a breed recorded to be eligible to compete and receive prize money.

Horses and ponies with Identity Documents are not eligible to compete.

Breeders prizes will only be paid to breeders residing on the island of Ireland.

The dates and venues are:

September 10th: Horses & Ponies: Ower Equestrian Centre, Ower, Co. Galway.

October 8th: Horses only: The Meadows Equestrian Centre, Lurgan, Co. Armagh.

October 21st: Horses & Ponies: Danescroft Equestrian Centre, Lisburn, Co. Antrim.

October 30th: Horses only: Ballindenisk, Watergrasshill, Co. Cork.

November 5th: Horses & Ponies: Coilog Equestrian, Kilmeague, Co. Kildare.
