First Nations Cup competitions of 2018 this weekend

Team Ireland Equestrian’s showjumping team will compete in their first Nations Cup competition this weekend at Ocala Florida (USA). As part of the new 2018 Longines FEI Nations Cup Series format, the competition will take place on Sunday at 18.00 GMT, with the Grand Prix moving to Friday. The Irish team will be hoping for a repeat of their 2017 victory at the 5 star show in Florida. Also competing in Nations Cup action at Ocala, will be Ireland’s Children On Horses team, with the class taking place at 16.00 GMT on Saturday.
Ireland’s senior riders will also fly the flag in the 5 star Nations Cup competition at Abu Dhabi (UAE), which is the first leg in the Nations Cup Series Middle East Division. The competition will kick of at 08.00 GMT on Saturday morning.
Elsewhere on the showjumping circuit, Ireland will be represented at Wellington Florida (USA), Vilamoura (POR), Neumuenster (GER), Vejer De La Frontera (ESP), Lier (BEL), Oliva Valencia (ESP) and Macon Chaintre (FRA).
