Ireland plays host to two home internationals this week

Ireland plays host to two home internationals this weekend, in the disciplines of showjumping and eventing. Tattersalls International Horse Trials kicks off today (Wednesday) with the first of the dressage tests taking place. This year sees the largest ever number of entries for the County Meath event, with some of the world’s top eventers set to compete. Live streaming from the event can be viewed on the Horse Sport Ireland website. In showjumping, Mullingar hosts a 2 star international show over three days of competition. The Grand Prix will take place at 15.00 GMT on Monday and boasts a prize fund of €24,700.
Elsewhere on the showjumping circuit, Team Ireland Equestrian riders will fly the flag at St Gallen (SUI), St Tropez (FRA), Devon Pennsylvania (USA), Tubbergen (NED), Ciekocinko (POL), Tryon North Carolina (USA), Opglabbeek (BEL), Hardelot (FRA) and Moorsele (BEL). Irish teams will line out for Nations Cup duty at three international shows this week. Nations Cup action takes place at 5 star Langley British Columbia (CAN) on Sunday at 22.00 GMT, at 3 star Lisbon (POR) on Friday 18.00 GMT and at Wierden (NED) on Thursday for the Juniors and Ponies and on Friday for the Children on Horses.
Elsewhere on the eventing circuit, Ireland will be represented at Chaumont En Vexin (FRA) and Renswoude (NED).
