IRELAND’S Judy Reynolds scored 74.425% with Joe & Kathleen Reynolds’s
13-year-old Jazz gelding Vancouver K, to place fifth in the Grand Prix
Kür (Freestyle to Music) at the FEI World Cup show in Odense, Denmark
today (Sunday).

Today’s performance was a best ever by Reynolds in a World Cup
qualifier. She matched the previous best placing by an Irish rider on
the European FEI World Cup indoor circuit, set in October 1996, when
Heike Holstein and Ballaseyr Devereaux placed fifth at the CDI-W in
Wembley, England.

Speaking from Denmark Reynolds said “I’m very pleased with the score
today. The arena is very atmospheric and I was caught unawares when
Vancouver K backed off going into the corners during the Grand Prix
yesterday. I was much better prepared for the reaction today.”

Odense is the venue for the opening leg of the Reem Acra FEI World Cup(TM)
Dressage 2015/2016. The series, sponsored by Beirut-born New York
fashion designer Reem Acra, will see the best riders from the region
join their counterparts from the Central Europe, North America and
Asia/Pacific qualifiers in the race for a place at the Reem Acra Final
which will be staged in Gothenburg, Sweden next March.

Reynolds scored twelve points for fifth place in Odense and she plans to
compete in the Reem Acra FEI World Cup qualifier’s in Lyon, Salzburg and
Olympia, London between now and Christmas.

Former world champion Edward Gal and Glock’s Voice won the opening FEI
World Cup qualifier of the 2015/2016 season for The Netherlands on
78.80%. Danish Olympian Anna Kasprzak and Donnperignon scored 77.10% for
