Youngster Tour Ireland sponsored by Horse Sport Ireland attracts stars of the future to Mullingar Equestrian Centre

Running alongside the first event from the Horse Sport Ireland Autumn Development Series 2020, the Youngster Tour Ireland, also supported by HSI saw Ireland’s top 4, 5 and 6-year-old horses travel to Mullingar Equestrian Centre at the weekend, with huge support for the initiative shown by owners, breeders and riders.

The four-year-old final saw nine combinations post double clear rounds to divide the winners prize, while 10 double clear shared victory in the five-year-old final.

Olive Clarke was in superb form in the six-year-old final, taking victory with FSS Outlaw (ISH) and also third place with Trendy Caruso (ISH). Meadhbh Mealiff and Aeraiocht (ISH) finished as runners-up.

Horse Sport Ireland also sponsored an additional €2,000 in Breeders Prizes; €1,000 for the 4-Year-Old final and €1,000 for the 5-Year-Old final. In the 4-Year-Old final, the first Breeders Prize went to William Buckley, breeder of Capa Quadilou (ISH) and the second Breeders Prize went to Norman E. Watt, breeder of Lammy Chipanix (ISH). In the 5-Year-Old final, the first Breeders Prize went to Shane Hanley, breeder of Tricolor MB (ISH), and the second Breeders Prize went to Jim Seymore, breeder of June Johnson (ISH).
